Sweating for the wedding...

Hello again!

I write to you to inform you that today is my first day on a weight loss journey.

I will be reporting (hopefully) twice a week with ups and downs and maybe some meal plans.

BUT before I start let me remind you of a few things.

1) I have a degree in History. I say that because I am not a healthcare professional and I have no license in nutrition or exercise or anything that gives me any authority to tell you what to eat or if it's going to make you lose weight. This is my journey. You're welcome to join me but I have no more knowledge than you do.. You may actually know more.
2) This is going to be hard.  I try to keep everything all cheery and happy but I have a tendency to get HANGRY and dieting kills a little bit of me inside.
3) I need you. & I hope that you need me too. I have 200 days to lose 25 pounds and I can't do it without someone holding me accountable. My fiancè actually needs to gain weight so he is of no assistance in all of this. I'm trying to give him the pounds I need to lose (if only that was a real thing).

SO with all of that being said..

Today is weigh-in, boot camp, grocery shopping/meal planning day.

I'll let you know how it goes as soon as I can.

Going to the chapel

HOLY HECK.

Why is planning a wedding (that is over a year away) the most stressful thing ever??

I'm looking for a good photographer that doesn't cost an arm, leg, and my first born.

The search continues.

All suggestions accepted.

(Wedding location will be close to Panama City Beach, FL..so a photographer in that area is preferred)

peace & love

thanks in advance

Peace up, A town down

Finally, we got all of our stuff moved in and got to go on an Atlanta adventure!
Our first stop was my new favorite coffee shop by far
Rev Coffee
I have now tried the Peanut Brittle and Snickerdoodle
both amazing.
Peanut Brittle has a tiny taste of peanut butter
Snickerdoodle is more sweet (which was right up my ally).
I'm obsessed with this little shop and can't wait to take all my friends to see what "Brewin in the Burbs" is all about!

Next stop was the Atlanta History Center. I bought a dual membership so D and I can visit whenever we desire.

They had a small display of movie memorabilia from Gone With The Wind, which was pretty cool.. it  out did the Margaret Mitchell House. (which was a little sad because she did write the book after all..)

Next stop, the Swan house, which is on the same grounds as the Atlanta History Center. This house still is set up the way it was from the 1930s. It is absolutely beautiful and I will be back to see it again!

Then we headed to Midtown, to see the Margaret Mitchell house (which is included in my dual Atlanta History Center membership). I was so excited to see this because my niece is OBSESSED with Gone With The Wind. I thought this would be a great place to take her. Not going to lie, I was disappointed. I figured their would be a costume or something from the movie but all I got was the entrance to Tara. It was cool to hear about Margaret Mitchell's life and see the actual apartment that she wrote the book in. However, it's not what I expected when I first planned to go. Maybe if they get more movie props I'll be back.

After our adventures we strolled over to Vortex Burger in Midtown (not the original). The atmosphere makes it worth the trip. We were too hungry to get anything crazy from the menu so we stuck to the normal burger (added bacon) and a side of tots. Not too bad but nothing to get me back there ASAP.

Anyway, I'm sure we will continue to adventure around and I will continue to review and post!

Have a great weekend
